The Camarillo Academic Olympics is a city-wide program open to all students in the 4th through 8th grades from all public and private schools in Camarillo and Somis. The goal of CAO is to provide an opportunity for our community’s youth to showcase their academic achievements in a fun, competitive atmosphere. There are two forms of competition – Academics and SuperQuiz. These competitions occur every other year. Camarillo Academic Olympics is now starting and competitions will occur in 2025. CAO has two divisions – Division I consists of 6th-8th graders. Division II consists of 4th and 5th graders. The academic competition has three rounds –school, city prelims and city finals.Students can compete in up to three different subject areas. These subject areas include: Art, Creative Writing, Speech, Current Events, Geography, Math, Science, U.S. History, California History (Div. II only) and World History (Div. I only).
